Conrad Reisenauer
Dr. Reisenauer's lifelong passion for animals began on his family's small farm outside of the Tri-Cities where they grew hay and had a few farm animals. His early experiences raising bottle calves and 4-H pigs sparked his interest in treating and preventing diseases as well as improving production through genetics.
While completing his undergraduate degree in Animal Science at Washington State University, Dr. Reisenauer was part of a Dairy group called CUDS. In this group, they were responsible for all aspects of care, including milking, feeding, genetics and medical decisions. Dr. Reisenauer then earned his DVM in 2021 from WSU, as well as his VBMA certificate. While in school, he focused on production animal medicine, particularly reproduction.
Dr. Reisenauer first honed his skills in a mixed animal practice in rural Baker City, OR before completing a 6-month mentorship with us at Mid-Columbia Pet Emergency. His favorite aspect of working with animals is being able to help people with their furry family members.
When not at the hospital, he operates his small farm where he grows hay and raises cattle and horses. During the summer, you can find him putting up hay and enjoying the river. In the winter, he will be out checking cows on the Snake River breaks. He also participates in local horse events and enjoys summer mountain riding.
